What is the difference between your removals service and a basic man-and-van?

A casual man-and-van is often just a vehicle and one person, with limited equipment and no formal insurance or training. Our removals service provides a professional, trained crew, proper protective materials, planned loading and unloading, and documented insurance cover. We also carry out surveys, advise on access and parking, and coordinate timings with you and, where relevant, other parties. This reduces stress, risk of damage and the likelihood of delays. In short, you get a managed move rather than simply a lift from A to B.

How far in advance should I book my move?

Ideally, you should book your removals date as soon as you have a likely moving window, especially if you are planning to move on a Friday or at the end of the month when demand is higher. Many customers confirm two to four weeks ahead, but we can often accommodate shorter notice depending on our diary. Even if your completion date is not 100% fixed, it is worth speaking to us early so we can pencil you in and discuss options if timings change.
